Fleetwood Plaza Regime

Following several months of discussions, email exchanges, and evolving drafts, the Board has approved a rewrite of the sections of the Fleetwood Rules and Regulations regarding maintenance and modifications of building and grounds and of three related documents.  The intent of the changes is the clarification of rights and responsibilities in these important areas and providing all residents with information as accurate and helpful as possible.

The rewritten, reorganized documents are:

  1. The sections of the Fleetwood Rules and Regulations regarding Building and Grounds Maintenance and Building and Grounds Modifications; language was changed to clarify which parts of the campus are maintained by the Board and which by individual owners, and what owners may or must do if they want to modify their units or the grounds near their units.

  2. The “Fleetwood Grounds Information and Tips” document; this document was rewritten to be consistent with the language of the governing policies and to be “generic” rather than specific to the times and people involved when it was first drafted.

  3. The Building Maintenance Committee Charter; this charter was amended slightly to comport with the policy and practice of allowing minor changes to a unit to be cleared by the Committee Chair.

  4. The Grounds Maintenance Committee Charter; this charter was redrafted to have the same structure as the Building Maintenance Charter.
